Guiness is good for you!

I swear it is true! Guiness is good for you!
So we made our way half way across the world to dublin. Our journey took about 24 hours to complete...but we made it!
Our last day in Bangkok was pretty cool, we went shopping at the market one last time, then moved on to the super huge mall to get into some air conditioning and went to go see a movie...we love their movie theatres!
Then we had our last thai dinner and made our way in a crazy cab to the airport. Imagine 'fast and the furious' style of driving...he was going about 120 an hour in an 80 zone on the shoulder... needless to say, we were very happy and in love when we got to the airport, and VERY thankful that we were still alive.
Got into london at 5 in the morning and headed off from heathrow to gatwick to catch our flight. We had a few hours to kill at gatwick, which was spent rearranging our lugguage to avoid extra charges for excess baggage...turns out the weight of our lugguage has doubled since we first set out.
We arrived in Dublin safe and sound on Thursday night...found our b&b and went off to the pub for some tasty irish food and of course a pint of guiness. SO GOOD. Why does it taste soooooooooooooooooooooooo much better here?
Yesterday we walked all around dublin, puttering through the city, it was great. We went to dublin castle, to the beatty library which has a very cool exhibit on manuscripts and the beatty collection, and then made our way to the guiness storehouse to learn how the magic happens. We drank the yummy black stuff at the top of the storehouse in a pub with a 360 view of dublin. very cool.

then we puttered back to the temple bar area and proceeded to drink a few more pints.

It feels strange to be back in western culture...but very cool. and compared to all the irish, lisa actually looks like she has a tan;)

We are off back to london tomorrow for a few more days of fun before we head home.

Hope everyone is well and staying warm! It is cold here, we can only imagine what the weather at home feels like.

love l & j
